To celebrate International Women’s Day in partnership with Rethink and CAPIC, and following a sold-out event last year, organizers Tilly Nelson and Lisa Kaulback are thrilled to bring this community together again to celebrate, challenge, and amplify women* working across commercial advertising, photography, and production.
- Mar 6 | 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. PST
- Rethink | 15 W 5th Ave Vancouver, BC V5Y 1H4, Canada
Event Overview
Building on last year’s theme, How I Got Here, this year’s conversation looks forward. The evening will explore what it means to break through, grow, and take up space in the industry through mentorship, collaboration, and building sustainable creative careers in Vancouver.
Taking place on March 6, the evening features a candid panel discussion with women working at top advertising agencies, followed by a fast-paced, high-energy Making Room segment spotlighting voices from the room.
This event is designed to move beyond survival mode and help women reclaim energy, agency, and direction in their creative careers.

Making Room
Making Room is a short, high-energy segment designed to create space for voices from the room and build collective momentum. It is an opportunity for female-identifying attendees to briefly share their work, celebrate a win, or speak to what they’re excited to pursue next.
The format is fast-paced and intentionally simple, with a small group of participants and light structure to keep things moving. Think clarity over polish, presence over perfection.
Interested in taking part?
You can let the organizers know when purchasing your ticket or by email by February 13. They will follow up with selected participants once the format is finalized. This is a supportive, encouraging space. You’re invited to be brave, show up as yourself, and take up space while making room for one another.
