About the event
Looking for a cozy midweek creative escape? Join us for Drawn Outdoors – After Dark, a 2.5-hour evening sketch session at Granville Island’s Picnic Pavilion.
We’ll begin by sketching the surrounding botanicals and late autumn details as the sun sets. As dusk falls, we’ll light the fire pits and draw by candlelight—capturing the glow of the city lights, reflections on the water, and the magic of night settling in around us.
Guided by me, Becky Hill, illustrator and founder of Drawn Outdoors, you’ll learn tips for drawing light, shadow, while connecting with the peaceful rhythms of the evening.
No experience? No problem—this session is beginner-friendly and all about slowing down, experimenting, and finding inspiration in the transition from day to night.
