Meet The Presenters

Flora Gordon
Creative Director

Flora Gordon is a Creative Director, certified design professional, and founder of imageimage, a branding agency that produces creative work beyond what you can imagine®. With over 15 years of experience, she has led award-winning projects in branding, typography, packaging, editorial, and environmental design. Flora blends a background in communication design from Emily Carr University with intuitive insight, incorporating empathic, non-traditional processes into her creative practice. A passionate educator and accessibility advocate, she authors and facilitates courses on design, publishing, and inclusive communication, and has presented at national conferences. Flora is also deeply committed to mentorship and community service, volunteering with registered nonprofits and supporting emerging designers. She is known for her originality, wit, and ability to connect people and ideas. Based in East Vancouver, Flora spends her time running, cooking for family and friends, listening to podcasts, and photographing the charming dogs who patiently wait outside her local grocery store.

Solveig Stoebe
Sen. Graphic Designer / Art Director – Cycling Coach – Teacher

Solveig brings forth many years of diverse and professional experience in Graphic Design, Marketing and multi-media. She has progressed her way through various roles with organizations + building her reputation in many countries around Europ.

Originally from Germany, Solveig or “Sol” combined her career as a Communication Designer with her love for sports, outdoors and travel. Solveig holds a degree in Communication Design + Master Class Art Direction, as well as a cycling coaching + teaching certificate.

Outside of her communication profession, Solveig is an active cycling coach, won several races herself + passionated about sharing the amazing benefits of cycling with all ages. 2019 she road across the country and helped raising money for Canada Mental Health Association. Solveig worked with several cycling companies in QC + BC for rebranind + creating new ideas, as well as other Sport oriented companeis, like Red Bull etc. She teaches also kids + teens in the areas of art/design, sports and German language.

Laura

Laura Larson
Marketing Strategist

Laura Larson is a seasoned marketing strategist with expertise in brand development, digital marketing, and strategic growth. Currently shaping marketing initiatives at The Dynamic Neural Retraining System, she specializes in advertising, e-commerce, and strategic marketing management. Previously, Laura spent over a decade at Glacier Media Digital, where she led marketing operations, managed corporate branding, and spearheaded integrated campaigns across web development, paid search, SEO, social media, content marketing, and advertising. With a track record of optimizing digital marketing performance, she has also served as a senior project leader, overseeing hundreds of projects and fostering collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. Her experience spans media planning, copywriting, influencer campaigns, and creative direction. Passionate about driving innovation, Laura blends analytical precision with creative storytelling to deliver impactful marketing strategies. Her career reflects a commitment to excellence, adaptability in evolving digital landscapes, and a talent for building strong brand identities.

Martin Shook
Associate Creative Director at Maven Medical Marketing

Marty Shook is an Associate Creative Director at Maven Medical Marketing, where he leads a team of designers and contractors in creating impactful medical advertising for pharmaceutical and medical device brands across Canada. With a background in Communication Design from OCAD University and a Master’s in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto, Marty blends creative strategy with scientific accuracy. He also serves as the Life Sciences board member with DesCan Vancouver, where he and his fellow board members aim to begin fostering a community for creatives working in the health sciences.

Lee Theron

Lee-Anne Theron
Director at Six Degrees

Lee-Anne Theron is a Creative Director and visual storyteller with over 18 years of experience in video production, animation, and content strategy. She excels at transforming complex ideas into compelling, high-impact content that resonates with audiences and delivers results. As co-owner of Six Degrees, Lee-Anne leads a dynamic team of creatives producing bold, strategic work for a wide range of clients.

With a background that includes a Bachelor of Journalism, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management, and advanced animation training from the School of Motion, she brings a mix of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical expertise. Her experience in editing, producing, and directing has shaped her into a creative leader known for delivering quality work—on time, every time.

When she’s not leading production, Lee-Anne is a devoted mom who enjoys mountain biking, hiking, camping, jazz and lyrical dance, history books, and true crime podcasts.
