Lisa Taniguchi is so excited to invite you to her very first solo art show!! “The Things We Tell Ourselves” is a collection of stories, musings, affirmations, and insecurities reflected in beautifully painted letters. Here are just a handful of pieces to give you a taste of what you can expect.

The show will run Friday, Sept 19th to Monday, Sept 22nd at Astro Club in Mount Pleasant (165 W 4th Ave) – also home to Lisa’s most recent mural! Opening night is Friday, Sept 19th from 6–10 PM with a cash bar and (maybe live) music.
It’s her first solo art show, so Lisa is equal parts excited and nervous. A long time in the making, she is very excited to share this vulnerable, introspective lens into her lettering art. She would love to see you there if you can make it.

Over the past 10 years, Lisa Taniguchi has led purposeful design teams, established effective processes, and crafted products that people love. She believes that amazing products are built by effective teams informed by insight, craft, and care.
Lisa loves blending product strategy, design leadership, and people management. Turning ideas and opportunities into thoughtful, concrete, tangible experiences that align with strategic initiatives is her bread and butter.
Her dynamic and diverse expertise is a blend of graphic design, creative direction, product design, product management, and team management.
In addition, Lisa is also a lettering artist and muralist. Her clients include McDonald’s, YVR Airport, AT&T, Vancouver Mural Fest, and more.
