Contracts for Creative Businesses:

How to Design Agreements That Prevent Client Conflict

Join Liam Bath at Creative Pulse on Thursday, May 30th

Have you ever had a client relationship implode because of money, scope creep, or misaligned expectations?

As a contractor, Liam Bath ran into his fair share of client conflict. Clients dodged payments. They tacked on time-consuming work at the last second. Or they had unrealistic expectations.

It didn’t happen often, but it did happen.

In the last 10 years, Liam transitioned from being a contractor, to small business owner, to lawyer with his own practice.

His journey inspired him to specialize in helping creative freelancers and boutique agencies. He helps new and established creatives to use legal agreements as a tool for strengthening client relationships while protecting time and earnings.

On May 30th, Liam will share his framework on how to utilize agreements with confidence— and avoid potential conflicts.

Creative freelancers and agency leaders can attend this Talk + Social to discover:

  • How to predict potential sources of conflict, and avoid them by setting clear expectations with the client up-front.
  • How to communicate your practices and procedures, particularly how you bill and what you expect FROM your clients.
  • How to be confident in discussing contracts with your client.

Join us at Elevator Strategy for tasty beverages and pizza — and discover how to turn your client agreements into a useful tool instead of a tedious obligation.

When he’s not at work, he’s usually hiking the North Shore mountains, reading in his garden, or enjoying fine foods and craft beers.
