Build new skills, network with peers, receive professional guidance. This 2-day conference fosters creativity and innovation through meaningful connections as you embark on the next steps of your design journeys.

Join for two days of learning, growth, and fun:

• In-person portfolio reviews
• Opportunities to connect with friends and make new ones
• Meet senior designers committed to supporting students
• Enjoy coffee and pastries in the morning, followed by lunch after the reviews

Day 1 – Studio Tours
Participants will explore career possibilities after graduation with tours of a local print shop and design studios (digital, creative, in-house). The day will conclude with an evening networking social.

Day 2 – Portfolio Reviews
Open to students and recent graduates aiming to pursue a career in communication design, as well as current design students, this session provides an opportunity to share portfolios or work in progress with industry professionals. Attendees will receive insightful, constructive feedback and a chance to practice real-world interview skills in a non-competitive setting. It’s also an excellent networking opportunity with key figures from Vancouver’s design community.

Your Portfolio Reviewers:

• Are actively working in the industry
• Have 10+ years of experience and/or are CDP™ certified
• Understand what employers and clients are seeking
• Have experience in various work environments (solopreneur, in-house, agency, studio)
• Specialize in advertising, communication design, branding, web, and UX/UI
