About the event

Participants are invited to experience the beauty of Pacific Spirit Park during a two-hour drawing session focused on botanical art. The session will introduce techniques for capturing leaves, flowers, and other foliage in vibrant detail. The first half will involve exploring the park to stay warm and spark creativity through warm-up exercises and creative games. In the second half, attendees will settle in for a longer drawing session, allowing them to develop their unique style and experiment freely.

The session will be guided by Becky Hill, an illustrator and artist passionate about connecting with the outdoors. She will share tips for drawing water, skies, and composition in landscape scenes.

No experience? No problem—this session is beginner-friendly and all about enjoying the creative process at all levels.

About Becky Hill

Becky is a multidisciplinary designer, illustrator, and creative with a passion for blending art and the outdoors. With over a decade of experience in design, content creation, and creative leadership, she has collaborated with brands such as SkiBig3, The North Face, and Travel Alberta to bring compelling visual storytelling to life. Originally from England and now based in Canada, Becky embraces adventure—whether hiking, skiing, or exploring new landscapes—all of which serve as inspiration for her work. Her experience spans multiple industries, from reforestation to tourism, leading projects in branding, media, and illustration. Through her work, she continually seeks innovative ways to connect people with nature, inspiring better mental well-being and climate action.
