Join APG Vancouver and Creative Pulse on Thursday, Oct 24th
The relationship between a Strategist and a Creative is a powerful thing.
Together they can elevate an ad to art—and turn an idea into something inspiring and impactful.
But what makes these pairings work?
Find out what happens behind the scenes on Thursday, October 24th at a joint event between APG Vancouver and Creative Pulse.
Three strategist-creative duos will take the stage and share insights on how they created a strong working relationship that resulted in exceptional work.
This is an event that agencies, freelancers and in-house professionals will find valuable. Attend this Panel + Social to see:
- Cossette’s VP Head of Strategy, Adam Collins, and Executive Creative Director, Katie Ainsworth, take us through some of the work they’ve done for Curling Canada.
- Annabelle King and Brian Krenzer deconstruct how two independents from different backgrounds collaborate effectively by leveraging the power of stories.
- Rethink’s Greg Kieltyka and Sam Massooleh prove that strong strategy-creative relationships deliver great work at every level. They will share how they made a mental health centre intriguing to a notoriously disinterested audience: teenage boys.
Join us at Rethink Communications for tasty beverages and pizza — and discover a better way to blend creativity and strategy.

Greg Kieltyka
Greg graduated from BCIT’s Marketing Communications program, where he completed a nine-week internship as an account coordinator. Between his schooling and his short-lived accounts experience, Greg unknowingly built the foundation for what would soon become an awarded career in creative. Armed with a solid understanding of strategy and budget estimates, he has since spent 6+ years as a copywriter, moving between McCann Vancouver, Camp Pacific (formerly Dare) and now Rethink. Greg has applied his unique brand of creativity on brands such as Heinz Ketchup, Molson Canadian, A&W, GM, Honda, Cathay Pacific, Destination British Columbia, Shaw, Coast Capital Savings and the Vancouver Canucks. Greg has been recognized at a handful International and Canadian shows.
Sam Massooleh
While studying at the UBC Sauder School of Business, Sam and a few of his friends pulled a stunt in an attempt to get Drake to perform at the University’s year-end concert, and in the process became the #1 trending topic on BuzzFeed for a solid 15 minutes. Drake didn’t end up coming, but the stunt impressed people at Rethink enough to give Sam an internship. Since then, he has cycled around accounts and digital roles at the agency, finally landing on the strategy team on multiple brands like BC Hydro, Coast Capital Savings, Granville Island Brewing, London Drugs, and Foundry. Sam also authored 3 silver-winning Effie case studies in this year’s competition for Rethink’s work on A&W, documenting the success of the Better Ingredients and the recent Beyond Meat campaign.
